Setar & Daf Player

Passionate Musician: Setar & Daf player, Co-author of the book titled "Learn How to Play Daf", Focused on Persian Music.

I am Mohammad Gholami, graduated student of the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University and former guest performer in the Mozaïque family on the Daf and Setar. I started playing Daf (a Persian frame drum) in 2006 and playing Setar (a traditional Persian stringed instrument) in 2011 under the supervision of A.Amirsamimi to learn the traditional repertoire of the classical music of Iran that forms the essence of Persian musical culture called "Radif". I had several performances at Ohio University and Shiraz University. Back in Athens, I was the Cultural Coordinator of the Iranian (Persian) Students Society of Ohio University and at Shiraz University I served as the Vice President of the Central Council of Shiraz University Music Association.
